Pokemon’s 25th Anniversary: Celebrating two decades of catching ‘em all

Even after over two decades, Pokemon fans still want to be the very best like no one ever was.

The Japanese franchise has lived through generations since the 90’s. From its humble beginnings in the Game Boy, to its beloved anime adaptation, and modern mobile game Pokemon remains beloved to this day. Whether you’re a loyal fan or a new trainer, there will always be room for our beloved pocket friends. Being a Pokemon Master is a lifetime gig after all.

This year will mark Pokemon’s 25th anniversary. To commemorate such a big milestone, the company behind the franchise has planned a year-long celebration. Fans from all over the world will get to participate in the festivities virtually with an exciting line-up in store for them. In collaboration with Mdconald’s, their Happy Meals will be filled with Pokemon goodies. These special items include partner pack trading cards, a binder, plushies, also T-shirts, figurines, and lastly a limited edition Pokemon skateboard.

It was also recently announced that they would be releasing a remastered version of their 4th generation game, Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl. Players will be able to revisit the Sinnoh Region and this time on the Nintendo Switch.

Additionally, there is an upcoming album to be released later this year titled, “Pokemon 25.” It will feature global artists like Katy Perry, J Balvin, and Post Malone. They recently streamed a virtual concert by Post Malone, who is also a big fan of the video game.
