What happens when you get terminated?

Due to the pandemic, the world has suffered an unprecedented challenge to public health, the economy, and employment. According to a December 2020 report by the BBC, “employers are cutting hundreds of thousands of jobs as COVID-19 continues to hit the economy”. Many economists expect unemployment to continue in 2021.

In the Philippines, unemployment reached an all-time high in April 2020, with 17.6% or 7.3 million jobless Filipinos, according to the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA).

What happens when you get terminated? What are your benefits? Are you eligible for a separation pay?
