Tips to master the Work From Home setup

Call it the ultimate challenge: Balancing your work and your personal life while working from home. Most women have experienced it the other way: working at the office while still having a fulfilling life once they get home. Now that the narrative has been turned upside down, how do home-based working women balance life and work, even while they’re surrounded by distractions, housework and family?

It’s unfamiliar, that much is true. But lots of women before have managed to do so successfully. Think of women entrepreneurs who launched businesses from their kitchens: the stories are endless and inspiring, and not impossible. There are ways, and there are tools that will make achieving this new work-life balance easier.

First and most important – keep a positive attitude! You can’t control what’s happening in the world, but you can control how you feel about it. But this doesn’t happen at the snap of a finger. You have to work at it, and stay focused.

Keep a schedule. Repeat to yourself: Anything that’s not scheduled doesn’t get done. Now that you have to work from home, don’t let housework take over your day. Set aside some work time and stick to it. The upside is, you can work anytime in the day or night, just make sure to set goals, and strictly allocate which hours are for work and which are for the home.

Take advantage of all the things that make life easier. This means things like online deliveries for essentials, Internet tutorials, and schedule apps.

Take care of yourself. Just because you’re cooped up in the house all day doesn’t mean you don’t have to pay attention to how you look. After all, looking good can do wonders for your spirit. Just make it easier on yourself by choosing products that make it easier to do so (see previous tip).

Make it easy to take care of yourself. This is a combination of the previous two tips, but it deserves special mention because one of the easiest grooming tips is actually having great hair. It’s up there with having great skin: having perfectly groomed hair does wonders for your videocon image, and the best part is, it’s not even that hard!

The trick is having smooth, manageable hair, and that starts with a great shampoo. There’s a reason Palmolive’s green variant, Ultra Smooth, is one of the most popular shampoos around. Because it’s infused with 100% Natural Aloe Vera Extract, it’s formulated to immediately smoothen hair so you can just comb it into place with your fingers.

Great hair means being camera-ready in a pinch for that conference call. It means looking perfectly groomed even as you switch from career professional to house diva and back again. You’ll even look your best while baking your latest sourdough recipe or switching to plantita mode because that’s how #GandangNatural works: it’s effortless, with not a hair out of place. Let your fingers do the work starting right here, shop online through Shopee and Lazada.
