Project Liwanag PH and Liga Artist Group invite you to Sulo: A Benefit Music and Arts Festival

Sulo: A Benefit Music and Arts Festival

Head on over to FRANK & DEAN and Ocean’s Telephone Company on July 28, 2018 to celebrate local artists while working with us to help empower the indigenous. In partnership with Tala: Mental Wellness, this event also aims to help create a community wherein the conversation on mental health will be rooted in a culture of empathy, a philosophy of interconnectedness, and a reminder that human dignity is fundamental in it.

“Sulo”, meaning torch or light in the native Aeta tongue, is a music and arts festival which aims to raise funds for Project Liwanag PH’s Sampung Ningning sa Dilim program. This is a solar electrification effort with the goal of providing Aeta communities in Capas, Tarlac with access to clean and renewable energy. As of now, through the help of generous individuals and organizations, we have succeeded in giving sustainable energy to 8 Aeta communities. We hope to be able to light up our 9th community, Sitio Taliktik by September of this year!

We have an amazing group of artists ready to perform to help this cause and, we hope to see you all there! Be ready for a night of music, poetry, art, and much more, all for the benefit of our indigenous brothers and sisters!

“Learn to light a candle in the darkest moments of someone’s life. Be the light that helps others see; it is what gives life its deepest significance.” – Roy T. Bennett
