Every Filipino commuter knows the daily struggle of commuting in the Philippines. Aside from getting stuck in heavy traffic or braving the long lines in LRT/MRT, there’s also the constant threat of having unfortunate encounters with robbers/pickpockets who are on top of their game even in broad daylight.
In a viral Facebook video shared by Anthony Enriquez, it showed an old woman rummaging through her things trying to look for her purse. Passengers of the jeepney (who were speaking Ilonggo) were trying to help the old woman and suggested to check on her sides.

Some were telling her that they think someone must have taken it from her bag and they might have seen it. The lady beside the old woman echoed what the others said and even added that maybe the purse fell from her bag.
But as the old woman kept looking for it, she seemed to have finally understood what these people were tipping her off and noticed that the lady beside her was hiding something between her arms. The old woman confronted her and said that what the lady has is hers. The lady argued that the purse belongs to her, threw it out of the jeepney, and even tried to get away with it.

This just proves that even if you’re being extra cautious, some people out there just want an easy way out and and are making a living at the expense of others. These days they don’t care who they victimize anymore — even if it’s an elderly woman who’s still making a living despite her old age.
