Girl gives boyfriend the “best” Christmas gift, includes set of rules

Every Christmas, people often tend to up-the-ante when it comes to gift-giving. In doing so, they use up a lot of time, energy and money to give their parents, siblings, friends, and significant others a special present that they’ll cherish even after the holidays are over.

Usually, their efforts in giving heartfelt presents pay off because they see the joy these items bring to their loved ones. But there are some cases wherein the recipients pay a little too much attention to the gift itself — and this normally happens when you give a video game lover the game he or she has been wanting all Christmas. And this is exactly what happened to Ashley Davison.

In a tweet posted by her boyfriend Blake Perry, Davison gives him the video game he’s been wanting all Christmas — but it includes a specific set of rules that will make sure Perry doesn’t forget about Davison while he spends his time playing the game.

The rules are as follows:

  1. “If I (Davison) call you (Perry), you must pause [the] game and talk to me with [your] full attention.”
  2. “No starting another match if we are planning to hangout or [that] I ask to hangout.”
  3. “You must ask if it is okay for you to play [the game] while I am over at your house with you. [And] Make sure I have something to do while you are in battle.”
  4. “You must reply to a text no longer than 11 minutes.”
  5. “Do not forget to give me just as much attention.“

The rules then end with an acknowledgment from Perry himself that he has understood what was stipulated.

Since the tweet was posted last December 25, 2017, a number of online users commented on Perry’s account to express their thoughts on this. Here is what some of them had to say:

Regarding the comments that said this was “abusive behavior,” Davison clarifies that she wasn’t serious when she made the rules and that it was all just for fun. 😂

We sure hope that Perry enjoyed playing his video game all throughout the holiday season and that Davison got the attention she deserved for giving him such an awesome present this Christmas!
