Play ball for PH: Global Hoops MNL opens public try-outs for Jump 10 World Hoops Challenge

Coming off the success of last year’s first ever Global Hoops event in the Philippines, the street basketball showcase has issued a challenge to young and up-and coming amateur ballers in the country.

Ballers from all over the nation are invited to participate in an open try-outs for a chance to represent the Philippines in the upcoming Jump 10 World Hoops Challenge in China this August.

A preliminary elimination tryout is set to take place at the Titan Love Court at Bonifacio Global City on Thursday (June 22).

Those who will pass the initial tests will be invited the following day, June 23, for the semis and the finals leg, where the winners will be awarded at the same time.

To qualify, interested participants must download the Titan LOVE COURT apps on Apple Store or Google Play and like and follow @globalhoopsmnl and @Titanlovecourt on Facebook and Instagram.

Players must also bring one valid ID (school ID, company ID, passport or any government-issued ID) and prepare light and dark-colored jerseys and proper basketball attire.

The event is completely free of charge and open for players 18 years old and above. Players must be available to fly to China on August 17 to 20.

The lucky winners, meanwhile, will get to represent the country against the best amateur ballers from China, the United States, Great Britain, Spain, Australia, Canada, France, Mexico, Italy, Korea and Japan.

Players will be rewarded with a free trip to Shanghai, China together with an exclusive package of free hotel accommodation, transportation, basketball gear and allowance.

They will also be in the running for a chance to win the tourney’s $200,000 (over P10 million) prize money.
