The Organisasyon ng Pilipinong Mang-aawit (OPM), the country’s leading organization of professional singers, will stage this year’s Grand Finale Concert and the Culminating Activity of Linggo ng Musikang Pilipino (LMP) 2017 at Estancia Mall on July 29th from 6PM onwards.
Issued in December 2014, The Linggo ng Musikang Pilipino is celebrated every last week of July of every year. LMP aims to promote love and patronage of the public for Filipino music. It is part of the efforts to promote and develop the local music industry, not only to advance Filipino art and culture but also to contribute to the development of the economy by supporting local industries related to homegrown music.
The partnership between OPM and Ortigas & Company has paved way to showcasing upcoming and talented artists, giving them ample exposure and performance venues where artists are encouraged to share their original works to a wider audience. The celebration has utilized Estancia Mall, Tiendesitas, Capitol Commons, and other Ortigas and Company Estates as performance venues for LMP2017.
OPM, the leading proponent of LMP since 2013, in cooperation with National Commission for Culture and the Arts (NCCA) has been taking great strides in mobilizing and activating numerous organizations and institutions to take part in the celebration.
This year, OPM has mounted almost 40 stages, engaging a close to 200 artists, and bar showcases, from July 22-28, highlighting different acts and genres.
Entitled “Bahaghari: Awiting Atin, Awitin Natin,” Grand Finale Concert will be held on July 29, at Estancia Mall, with artists such as Quest, 6Cyclemind, Ang Banda ni Kleggy, Ben & Ben, Tres Marias, Sud, Davey Langit, Kaleidoscope Eyes, MYMP, Volts Vallejo, Lucky Robles, Rj Jimenez Banna Harbera, Never the Strangers and Noel Cabangon taking part in the Finale.
To cap off LMP 2017, My OPM Playlist Exhibit is displayed at Estancia Mall from July 22-30. The My OPM Playlist travelling exhibition is a thematic exhibition that features playlists of selected celebrity endorsers. The playlists hold the favorite songs of influential Filipinos such as Ryan Cayabyab, Jose Mari Chan, Howie Severino and more! The exhibit features 30 playlists from influential Filipinos from different sectors and industries, everything from show business to politics
