Have Mercy releases highly anticipated new album ‘Make the Best of it’

DEBUTED AT #2 ON ITUNES SINGAPORE ALT. CHART

Tender but powerful, it conveys both deep loneliness and warm comfort.

It’s a ballad that tugs at heartstrings with desperate conviction,

but also burns with a hopeful urgency.” – CLRVYNT

Further listening exposes the maturation and darker shades of their melodic,

emo-leaning alt-rock….Sure this sound has been kicking around in various

forms since the early 2000s Drive-Thru and Vagrant Records eras, but

rarely has it been done so well.” – Alternative Press

The result is an absolute masterclass in pushing past the notion of settling

for “good enough” and instead reaching a level of perfection

obtained through natural growth.” – Soundfiction

While we aren’t necessarily ones to jump the gun and declare a record Album Of The Year worthy when it’s only February, we have a very strong feeling Have Mercy’s forthcoming LP Make The Best Of It will be in the running come December.” – The Noise

April 24th, 2017SingaporeHave Mercy has officially released their highly anticipated third studio album, ‘Make The Best Of It’, via Hopeless Record! Fans can purchase the album on iTunes or stream it on Spotify. The 11-track record, which debuted at #2 on the Singapore iTunes Alt Chart, hits all the marks that Have Mercy fans have been known to love; and the album is already being praised by the press. Musically, lyrically and stylistically, ‘Make The Best Of It’ rings loud and true throughout, being the bands catchiest and tightest endeavour to date. Have Mercy’s previous releases include ‘A Place of Our Own’ (2014) and their cult-success debut album, ‘The Earth Pushed Back’ (2013).

During the writing and recording of ‘Make The Best Of It’ — a seven-month affair with producers Paul Leavitt (All Time Low) and Brian McTernan (Thrice) as well as writing partner and guitarist Nathaniel Gleason — Swindle made sure to internalize the essence of Have Mercy and let that guide the songwriting. On the release of the album, Swindle says, “It’s an amazing feeling to finally have this record out. Almost unreal. We started writing back in February 2016 and didn’t finish until the fall. After being off of the road for 7 months and hyping the new record for so long I’m just ready to show the world what we’ve created.
