Remember when we all used to sing along with Teletubbies characters Tinky Winky, Dipsy, Laa-Laa, and Po, and we all used to think of them as cute baby aliens with such happy colors? Well it turns out that Teletubbies weren’t actually “cute-sized” at all.
People were shookt when a random Tumblr user posted an excerpt of Time’s 2001 article — revealing a disturbing truth about the Teletubbies’ height.
“Though onscreen the Fab Four appear to be a baby-friendly size, in “person” they are gargantuan, bigger than Barney, bigger even than Big Bird. Po, the smallest, is 6 ft. 6 in., while Tinky Winky looms around 10 ft. tall. This makes for a costume that weighs more than 30 lbs. And if the performers, who see and breathe through the mouth holes, keep their heads on too long, there is a danger of carbon-dioxide buildup,” the article says.
Some people couldn’t get over this horrific revelation that they don’t know what to do anymore. #ChildhoodRuined

And if this information wasn’t creepy enough, this black and white video of the Teletubbies looks absolutely sinister you’d think it’s cut out from a horror film.
The Teletubbies, which recently celebrated its 20th anniversary, not only makes us feel old now, but also makes us realize our whole life thinking they were cute, lovable, and baby-sized characters, has been a lie!
Thank you, Internet!
