SXSW EXHIBITIONS
SXSW plays host to a diverse range of exhibitions that connect people from creative industries all over the world.
There’s the SXSW Trade Show where promising startups — and industry leaders — get to showcase their latest wares. Some of its highlights are stages set for live pitches, product demos, exhibitor meet and greets, and panel sessions that discuss promising trends of the future.
There’s also SXSW Create — the hardware hacking and maker arm of SXSW. Here DIYers and hackers can collaborate and experience the latest in new technologies through hands-on activities, doing creative and revolutionary things. This is the place to learn about everything from drones, biohacking, 3D printing, open source tech, and other disruptive solutions shaping our society.
Even foodies are represented at SXSW. The city of Austin is known for its iconic food trailer culture and nowhere is this more evident than at the Southbites Trailer Park. This showcase features some of the best pop-up restaurants and food trucks from all over the US.
And lastly we have the SXSW Gaming Expo. Considered the festival’s epicenter of gaming culture, here is where you’ll find the best developers and companies in the gaming industry mingling with everyone from the casual gamers to the most hardcore members of the community. Old school arcade games, the latest mobile games, PC Arena tournaments, tabletop games, animation, toys, and all other aspects of geek culture are here for everyone to enjoy.
SXSW has come a long way from its beginnings as a music and art festival to one encompassing the latest developments in tech, new media, and bleeding-edge culture.
