First Pacific Leadership Academy sheds light on the new generation

MANILA, Philippines – A generation born during the technological boom, millennials have earned (quite unfairly) the title of being an “entitled” bunch. Once described by Time Magazine in 2013 as the “Me, Me, Me” generation, these young adults are now stepping up and proving everyone wrong with their creativity, innovative ideas and unique world views.

First Pacific Leadership Academy (FPLA), the first corporate university established by esteemed Chairman Manuel V. Pangilinan, sheds light on the misunderstood generation in its newest Executive Talk (E-Talk) to be held on March 31, 2017, 1pm at Griffins Hall, FPLA Academy, Antipolo.

Paolo Valenciano

Titled “Millennials on the Rise”, this E-Talk focuses on how millennials have successfully overcome their challenges and are carving a place for themselves in the world. For this exciting event, FPLA invites award-winning concert director Paolo Valenciano, political consultant and Habitat for Humanity Youth Ambassador Brian Poe Llamanzares, and Managing Director of Voyager Business Dindo Marzan to lead the discussion.

As the son of famous Filipino superstar, Gary Valenciano, Paolo is a performing artist and creative director in his own right. He has directed the many concerts of Gary V, one of which won “Concert of the Year” at the 2015 PMPC Star Awards for Music. As an artist, he has released his own album titled, “Silence/Noise,” under Star Records, which was thrice nominated during the 2015 PMPC Star Awards for Music.

Dindo Marzan

Featured as one of the ”30 Game Changers” in the February 2017 issue of Lifestyle Asia, Brian Poe Llamanzares has wide experience in politics, business, and entertainment. He was a former correspondent for CNN Philippines, former supervising legislative staff officer of the Office of mother Senator Grace Poe, and a campaign coordinator during the last presidential elections.

Joining the roster of speakers is Dindo Marzan, who serves as the Managing Director of Voyager Business, the customer facing unit of Voyager Innovations that provides consultancy services on digital transformation. A graduate of the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology in Australia, Marzan worked for Globe Telecom and ABS-CBN Corporation. He has over a decade of experience in IT, marketing, and communications, with expertise on digital media. His resume displays his knowledge of digital maturity in the Philippines and the role played by digital millennials.
